Copyright and reporting content
KitFiler Money is a private bookkeeping service: files people upload or forward to their AI address are visible only to the members of their own workspace and are not published. Even so, we respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices of claimed infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
1. Designated agent
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent, KitFiler LLCKitFiler LLC
[postal address to be added]
Email: admin@kitfiler.com
US Copyright Office DMCA designated agent registration: [registration pending]
2. What a notice must include
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- Identification of the material on KitFiler you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it (for example the page address).
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
3. What we do
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material promptly and tell the user who provided it. A user who believes the material was removed by mistake may send a counter-notice to the agent above with: their signature; identification of the material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that they have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and their name, address, phone number and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for their district (or, outside the US, any district where KitFiler may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the complaining party tells us it has filed a court action.
Repeat infringers. We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
4. Report content
Use this form to report material on KitFiler that infringes your copyright, or other content or misuse you think breaks our Terms (for example malware, abuse, or someone else's personal data). For a formal DMCA notice, include everything listed in section 2.
